Is the Internet Safe?
It is not right to say that the internet is safe if the necessary precautions are not taken! No one can guarantee 100% security on the internet. If the internet user fulfills his/her responsibilities, he/she can make similar to creating an environment the internet safe to a certain extent. So, what are these responsibilities:
Using antivirus and firewall programs, keeping our operating system up to date,
Paying attention to what we look for and where,
Not sharing our wireless network password or leaving it ao lists publicly available, paying attention to password security,
Prefer to use a virtual credit card if you shop online,
Not opening or clicking on suspicious links and e-mails, and not falling into Phishing traps.
Avoid doing banking transactions on computers that are used by many people unless necessary, and be careful when doing Internet Banking and online shopping.
Not giving all personal information on sites that require membership, and not being exposed to Identity Theft and Fraud.
Determining measures and limits on personal privacy, confidentiality and sharing on social networking sites, paying attention to Social Network Security.
