The hypocrisy of society

Another important aspect is public morality. We live in a time when digital content is part of the global economy. It has long been no longer a strange thing for people to create photos or videos and get paid for it. However! there is a double The hypocrisy  standard in our society: on the one hand! platform users willingly consume content! and on the other! they condemn those who create it.

Bill No. 9623! registered in August 2023! could be the first step towards thereto to building unstainable funnel solving the problem. Decriminalizing the voluntary production and sale of content could relieve much of the pressure on OnlyFans creators. But the bill has been hanging in the air. Reasons? Political games! moral debates! fear of accusations of “legalizing pornography.”

My personal belief is that the state should either introduce clear rules of the game or stop demanding

The hypocrisy  taxes from those it itself calls criminals. In conditions when there is a war in Ukraine and the budget needs funds! legalizing such activities can become an additional source of funding. Of course! provided that the rules are transparent and the standards are clear.

The issue of Article 301 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (production and distribution of pornography) cannot be ignored. It creates a legal conflict: if a model’s content is legal in the US but is recognized as pornographic in Ukraine! who is to blame? Perhaps it is time to review this legislation and adapt it to the realities of the digital age.

What to do?
First! the tax system needs to be reformed. Tax authorities should how to build a high-converting landing page work not as a punitive body! but as a consultant and partner. Automation! transparency! and convenience are the principles that will help increase citizen trust.
Secondly! it is necessary to change the criminal legislation. Using criminal liability to resolve tax issues is a last resort. Instead! there should be a clear system of fines that takes into account voluntary correction of errors.

And most importantly it is necessary to change the approach to citizens

People who honestly declare their income should receive protection! not be the object of searches. This is a basic principle of the rule of law.
OnlyFans in Ukraine is not just a platform for earning money. It is a mirror that shows how ready our legal system is for the challenges of modern times. Today! content creators are caught between a rock and a hard place: between the desire to work legally and the fear of persecution. And until the state resolves this dilemma! we all lose: creators – the ability to sleep peacefully! the state – tax revenues! society – a aol email list sense of justice.
