Any occasion to share a rum is a good occasion and doing splits is a very good way to share rum.
A new bottling has just come out and you want to taste it out of curiosity, but you don’t want to buy the whole bottle;
There’s a bottling you’d love to try, but paying the price special lead of the bottle is totally out of the question;
You want to buy a bottle or two, but you don’t have the money. You can split a few of your bottles to earn some money and finance this new purchase.
A bottle of rum is expensive
For the most classic rums, not to mention white rums, they cost between 30 and 50 euros. For many people, that’s already a very large sum to spend on a simple drink.
So when you become a rum lover and want to be able to train your palate on other rums than the one you can buy during the month, it is very tempting to be able to treat yourself to a small similar to creating an environment sample of a rum that you are curious to taste.
This allows us to get an idea of a rum that we would not have bought without knowing if we lik it.
This allows us to know what a rum is like that we wouldn’t necessarily buy.
We can therefore make comparisons. We can america email say that the 2004 vintage is a little below the 2005.
